| HOW DOES IT WORK? |
| The laser light is attracted to the red blood
inside the veins or spots. A special wavelength is used to deliver a
precise dosage of energy to each problem area. Your skin is protected
with a cooling spray immediately before each laser pulse. The veins are
broken up and rapidly heated. Your body will dissolve and absorb the
damaged veins or spots. Some spots may disappear right away. In some
cases, multiple treatments will be necessary. |
| |
| WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED? |
| Any spot caused by a vein being visible through
the skin can be treated. These include small red veins on the nose and
cheeks, blue and red leg veins 3mm and smaller and “spider veins” on
the legs or ankles. |
| |
| DOES IT HURT? |
| Most people describe the sensation as the snap of
a rubber band. The discomfort will only last a second. |
| |
| AFTER TREATMENT... |
| When the treatment is finished, the area may be
red and have minor swelling. This is a result of the veins recieving
the laser light and it is temporary. Some smaller spots and veins may
have vanished, and larger veins may have changed to a darker color.
Your body will absorb the veins over the next few weeks. You will have
an appointment made to check the results 6-8 weeks after treatment. |
